Checking In From The Road

Hello everyone! We are currently in Yellowstone National Park and have had an amazing experience so far!

In just a couple of days we have seen a black bear, a grizzly bear with two cubs, several elk, two moose, deer, beavers and of course bison. We have seen more wildlife this trip that our previous visits to the park combined.

Couple this with our awesome campsite and the natural beauty of the park and surrounding areas and this is turning out to be an excellent adventure.

Due to our remote location I am not able to add photos to this post. However, I have an Instagram feed on my homepage where you can check out some of our photos.

You can also follow us on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/rvonfire/ Somehow Instagram is still available even with a very poor connection.

Thanks to everyone for following us.

It’s Time!!

Summer Road Trip Final Preparations

We are now just a couple of days away from departing on our Summer road trip. The hard work, for the most part, is done. We spent this past weekend stocking up on food and shopping for the last remaining items on our need-to-buy list. Additionally, we spent a day at our RV going over our pre-trip checklist to make sure everything is in good working order and ready to roll. Continue reading “Summer Road Trip Final Preparations”

RV Essentials Dog Edition

One of the things we enjoy most is taking our dog with us on road trips. He is our four-legged family member who brings joy to our lives and makes our home complete. He also loves the camping glamping lifestyle as much as we do, as you can see.

Summer Trip Preparations

As we move closer to the departure date for our Summer road trip, we have begun making preparations and getting everything in order.

This isn’t our first go around, but it seems like we almost always forget something. Last time we made the journey to Yellowstone National Park, I forgot my camera of all things. Nothing like going to the most scenic place in the country and not having a camera. I used my phone, but it was no substitute for a professional grade camera. Essentials For Your New RV

I have seen a lot of questions in different forums from new RV owners asking what items are important or must haves before heading out on their first trip. The first trip is always going to have its ups and downs. If you’re lucky, you spend most of your time getting to know your new coach and putting things away how you like them.

However, more often than not, people end up discovering small issues and end up doing some sort of DIY repairs. The experience can range from euphoric to down right frustrating.

Before you go out, it’s good to be prepared to avoid some self-inflicted frustrations. I have compiled a list of some essential and basic items that we use. Some might seem obvious. But we have experienced, seen and heard stories from people that have left home for a trip and in their excitement, forgot basic necessities. Hmmm, I thought I put the new sewer hose in the wet bay! Our Favorite Camping Gadgets

Greetings fellow travelers!! With the Memorial Day weekend upon us we have officially started the camping season. This is a great time of year and like millions of other people we can’t wait to hit the road.

I previously wrote a blog listing 10 budget friendly items that we have personally used, and in most cases, continue to use during our camping adventures. In this blog we will list some excellent items that we use around the campsite and inside our RV. Continue reading “Our Favorite Camping Gadgets”
